What’s better than the world’s best chocolate chip cookies? How about chocolate chip cookies cooked in their own individual cast iron skillets, and served up hot and gooey?
These skillets make awesome desserts and can be topped with whipped cream or ice cream for even more amazing flavor.
Note: the actual skillets may be hard to find in stores. I found mine here.
Yield: 9 cookie skillets
Tools
5 inch mini cast iron skillets
Ingredients
Cookie dough, enough to make about 24 small cookies (recipe here)
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Add cookie dough to skillets, fill about half way, use your fingers to flatten down.
Transfer skillets to oven and cook for about 9 – 10 minutes, or until cookies start to turn golden brown.
Remove skillets from oven and place on wire rack to cool for 5 minutes.
Serve hot. Caution, the skillets will retain heat for along time and will be hot. Be very careful when eating, use an oven mitt, or a handle cover.
OMG! I hate this website.
When I read the part about skillets, I thought it said skittles. Well, needless to say, when I put a bag of skittles and cookie dough in my oven, it made a huge sticky mess!
I will be boycotting this website from now on!
