With the title of a new product being Steambox, you might have expectations on what that is going to be. What is the resolution? What processor does it have? Well, it turns out that the Sterambox we are talking about today doesn’t have a resolution or GSU, but it does have a 99.9% leakproof seal.
We are in fact talking about a $250 lunchbox. This isn’t to say that it isn’t worth it and something that could change society as we know it. This seems like one of those sci-fi movie things that everybody sees and says, “yeah, I expect that to happen”. Heat my boxed lunch with the push of a button or the swipe of my finger on my phone. Sounds like the future to me.
It holds 25 oz. and can heat for 45 minutes meals on a charge. Average meals will heat up in 15-20 minutes and maintain more health benefits than a microwave with far more portability. The hope is that people won’t be so limited on food options regardless of being indoors or outdoors and won’t have to resort to cold packaged food.
We have not had a chance to get our hands on this yet as it will be shown at CES 2023. We will have a more in-depth look as more information and testing becomes available. The question that may take the longest to answer; is this the next evolution in technology, or another technology born and dead in the same year.
