It’s always nice to see when concepts go from ideas to reality. I had a chance to get
the inside scoop on this case back in January and I’m happy to see it not only released but get my hands on one. For those of you not aware of what we are talking about, let me introduce you to:
If having a flat box with all your walls broken down is confusing, you are in the right place to understand what makes this the last mid-tower you will ever need.
Let’s start with what you just bought.
- A test bench PC case
- Left facing motherboard
- Right facing motherboard
- Half XB (where it lays on its side)
Now that’s a lot of cases to get with one purchase but you get even more than that. You get to enjoy putting the case together and get a feeling of accomplishment as well as playing with some toys. After putting this case together I realized how much fun it was to play with more adult toys that remind me of my childhood.
Okay, so we know it is multiple case types, but not all cases fit the bill. So how much does it fit in its pint-sized mid-tower case?
- 280MM water cooler – Check
- E-ATX motherboard – Check
- 365MM graphics card size – Check
- 150+MM power supply – Check
- 3.5 drive bays – 4
All things considered, this has room for any high-end PC build you could want, but what doesn’t it do?
In this case, you don’t really get a lot of room to breathe. You get enough space for the hardware, but not enough space to fit your hands and move around. This of course excludes the test bench option which does a wonderful job of being a test bench. If you are not familiar with what I’m talking about, think of working on a car engine. If you can’t get a hand in, it is hard to change a spark plug.
That’s pretty much it. We were able to build a high-end PC in a cute case that has more accessories than any case that has been made. If you are looking for more space don’t buy a mid-tower. If you are in the market for a mid-tower, you found it. I can’t come up with any good reason to not pick this up for your next case. Price, quality, capability, flexibility, it has it all. We give the Qube 500 a big thumbs up.
I must say, as a lot as I enjoyed reading what you had to say, I couldnt help but lose interest after a while. Its as if you had a wonderful grasp on the subject matter, but you forgot to include your readers. Perhaps you should think about this from far more than one angle. Or maybe you shouldnt generalise so considerably. Its better if you think about what others may have to say instead of just going for a gut reaction to the subject. Think about adjusting your own believed process and giving others who may read this the benefit of the doubt.
