As a gamer I’ve been through a fair share of controller purchasing and as time has passed its safe to say that controller prices have gotten a little pricey, so in a bid to save our wallets we have started on the search to find the best controller’s that won’t break the budget. Which has led us to our controller today, the Power A Xbox One X- Royal Purple controller!
This Power A controller is compatible with the Xbox series S|X as well as the PC and comes in variety of different graphics and colors.
It features a Detachable 10ft (3m) USB C cable with hook-and-loop closure as well as
- Volume dial with One-touch Chat Mute
- Two mappable Advanced Gaming Buttons
- Immersive dual rumble motors
- Standard 3.5mm stereo headset jack for in-game audio
- Share Button to capture and share screenshots and clips
The controller itself feels just like a standard Xbox one controller when it is in your hands although it does feel a little lighter which might be an issue for some people but I like it compared to the originals weight, there is also a textured grip on the controller that after some rough use still hasn’t worn away which I am rather impressed by.
The volume dial and one touch mute function have been extremely handy in situations where I needed to mute my mic quickly or adjust volume levels during intense scenes in the games I was playing, overall these were two great features to add to the controller as they are very helpful in there positioning.
Now on to the other features, the two mappable buttons on the back have been extremely helpful when it comes to key binding in certain games whether it be a FPS for crouching or grenades to a fighting game for easier combo’s these two buttons make things a lot easier for you in game and you don’t have to waste the extra money on a pro controller to get them.
So what’s stopping me from giving this controller a 5/5 and buying solely these for the rest of my life you ask? Well it’s still a budget controller and it suffers from a really serious problem and the problem is stick drift, these controllers for some reason seem to after about 5 months or so suffer from some serious drifting and analog stick problems.
So for that reason I have to give this controller a 3/5
It’s a great controller that is light weight has some really good features and I recommend it if you need a controller on a budget but the stick drift issues and the fact that you might be replacing it again in a few months might make it worth it to just save the 70$ for an official controller.
