In 2019 LG released the first OLED Rollable TV at an astounding $100,000 USD. The TV looked fine, and had the stats to back up a premium TV. The question that consumers ultimately decided is that it isn’t worth that much to not have to look at your TV and roll it away when you done using it.

Now it’s time to see is Hisense can crack the “I don’t want to look at my TV when not in use” code. That’s a long nickname for roll-able TV, but in the end that’s all your really getting. Hisense is trying this with a laser tv. They are able to push high stats since the screen doesn’t contain the pixel technology and use a high end laser to make it happen.

  • 8K resolution
  • Vibrating screen with 100,000 sound-emitting units
    • I wasn’t a big fan of Samsung’s vibrating screen from a few years back but we will have to see

This is about all we have so far. I have reached out to their media team to get some additional data, but we might have to wait till CES 2025 to get additional details. We will update once we hear back.
